I bought this item to power a 12v spot light from West Marine. The light works fine when powered by my car's cigarette lighter. However, when using the PowerLine unit, my light was very dim - appearing as if it wasn't getting enough power. This item might be fine for powering other items but it didn't work out for me. Thanks to Amazons great return policy, I was able to return the item and get a refund.
